Wilmette Historical Home

PROJECT

Nestled in the highly coveted CAGE neighborhood on brick-paved Chestnut street in Wilmette, this historical home had great bones but felt too traditional.  The homeowner wanted color and curiosities throughout to create interest and to make the home feel personal.

INSPIRATION

Chic, glamorous, and with a wink of cheekiness, the inspiration for this home was to create a timelessly curated space that pulled pieces and shapes from the 1940s-70s.  The goal was to be light, bright, and airy, but never boring.

THE CLIENT

An avid interior design fan and admirer, this homeowner wanted a space that felt as luxurious and interesting as the interiors she saw in magazines and coffee table books.  She shares a love of vintage furniture with Summer, so wherever possible vintage pieces were selected to make the space truly unique.
