Old Naples Escape

What began as a warm-weather getaway in Naples became so inviting after Summer’s redesign that the owners made it their primary home.

Reflecting the best of Naples interior design, the interiors blur the lines between indoors and out, creating a light, airy atmosphere that still honors the client’s preference for formal, traditional details—delivering a space that feels both relaxed and refined. The transformation turned a new-build spec house into a welcoming coastal escape for multi-generational family gatherings. This home was featured in Veranda Magazine.

“Wallpapering the kitchen backsplash is totally practical once covered in glass. You slop spaghetti sauce, and it just wipes right off. It was not a simple task, but totally worth it.”

“You walk in and are immediately submerged in this silver-leafed underwater scene. The light catches the colors differently, as if the koi are moving. It’s magical and fun.”

“When you’re from the frozen tundra, as we are, you crave a tropical fantasy.”

“Mixing traditional and contemporary, gives weight to a newer home and allows us to go further with color and pattern.”

“That yin-yang of masculine and feminine is echoed throughout the home, as a palette of citrusy hues, kiwi, and apricot (colors reminiscent of Naples in its 1940s heyday) is anchored by darker British Colonial pieces and antique rugs.”

This house is a getaway, so we like the idea of fantasy, something out of the ordinary that you wouldn't see coming. I love how it says, 'I may be a kitchen but I'm still on vacation!”
