Project:
This Atlanta Interior Design project was to be decidedly comfortable – a place where friends and family could drink lemonade by the pool, sit on the sofa in wet swimsuits, or take a quick nap out of the sun.
Inspiration:
Shortly after returning from a trip to India, Summer found herself especially passionate about Indian block print textiles. They served as her starting point for this project.
The Client:
This Atlanta-based couple runs an international futures exchange by day, and are philanthropists, foodies, and art lovers by night.
What we love:
- The custom raw steel cabinet that cleverly hides floaty toys. We all need pool toys, but there’s no need to see them at all times!
- Wall mounted stag horn ferns
- Bohemian and Indian block print patterns on fabrics throughout the space
What we did:
We created a comprehensive interior design plan for this space. The architecture set a natural tone, so we embraced that in our design by introducing elements from nature – ferns, jades, and boxwood topiaries – then we selected comfortable and functional furniture to ensure guests felt at-ease as they lounged by the pool.
